Founder and lead designer, Elizabeth Hague, is recognized for her beautiful residential interiors that are classic, elegant, calm and inviting. She has a subtle way of layering textiles and furnishings to evoke a timelessness and richness, whether in an old world or contemporary space.
EHI’s dedicated team of trained interior designers and artists work diligently with clients and architects to create elegant and calm classical interiors. The firm is headquartered in Georgetown, DC with associates in New York and North Carolina.
Over the past 30 years, EHI has completed projects in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, New York, Kentucky, South Carolina, Utah, Virginia, Washington, DC and beyond.
Their work has been featured in The New York Times, House Beautiful, InStyle, Traditional Home, Elegant Homes, Renovation Style, The Georgetowner and Southern Living.
Beth grew up in Kentucky, attended boarding school in Richmond, Virginia, and made her way to DC to study business at George Washington University. She continued on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design at Marymount University.
Beth began her design career as an associate designer for Antony Childs Inc., followed by her role as Senior Designer for Anthony P. Browne Interiors. She launched her namesake firm in 1991. Beth is NCIDQ certified and is ASID licensed.
Beth lives in Georgetown with her husband, Tim, and their dog Ranger. She’s also a mom of twins – Caroline and Walker. She enjoys traveling with her family to Europe, Nantucket, Palm Beach and Los Angeles – places from which she draws much of her creative inspiration.
